So, because at this point, I am paranoid about Lufthansa's customer service and system, I called them up and they had to provide me with all the booking code and confirmation. I was NEVER emailed or notified about how the original "deal" was no longer availableĪfter about 3 hours, i notice a charge for about $450 dollars. I called about 1 month and 2 weeks prior to the flight to reserve the ticketįor whatever reason I am being charged MORE because of how their system works When questioned about why I have not received ANY information regarding my flight, their answer was, "oh this deal is no longer available. It was cleared up that this is because of some "adjustments" and how half of the ticket price goes to a 3rd party, so I was understandable. I was confused at the time because my original ticket had costed around $1100 Cdn. I had planned for the flight to be on the 9th of January and the representative on the phone said I would need to pay around an additional $250 Cdn. Thus, I did not need a return and only a one way trip. The only one thing deviating from my original travel plan was that I would stay in Germany and then fly to the UK. In November 2021 about the 3rd week in, I rebooked via the service centre. Obviously these plans did not pan out, so I called up the support centre and confirmed that I could rebook the flight at a later date and all I needed was to save my ticket number/ booking code. In 2020, I was supposed to fly to FRA from YVR round trip. The Independent Flight Attendant’s Organization (UFO) has announced strike action for all Lufthansa flights from/ to Frankfurt and Dusseldorf on Friday, between 14.00 and 23.00 and Saturday, between 6.00 and 23.00 for all flights from/to Dusseldorf and for all flights operated with A319, A320, A321 and B737 from/to Frankfurt. I would like to put out my first hand experience dealing with rebooking flights that are supposedly "free".
